Anyway, Liverpool are level!

Brighton could run away with this, and there are more problems if Ibrahima Konate walks away with trainers, using his shirt as a makeshift sling for his right arm.

The Irish keeper gets his left leg on Rutter’s shot to maintain the Reds’ one-goal deficit.

Goal by Ferdi Kadioglu! Liverpool 0-1 Brighton (15th minute)

Kaoru Mitoma’s cross is off target for any of the three future Brighton receivers, but Danny Welbeck gets a tiny piece of the ball and it ends up on the right side of the penalty area.

Liverpool vs Brighton prediction

Brighton will try to force Liverpool into an end-to-end match, but the Reds have shown admirable restraint (apart from the first half against Arsenal) in sticking to Slot’s patient plan. Brighton will find it very difficult to generate scoring chances if they cannot open the match. Liverpool 3-1 Brighton.
