College GameDay in Baton Rouge for LSU-Alabama football | LSU

For the first time in five years, ESPN’s “College GameDay” comes to LSU.

The show announced Saturday that it will air from Baton Rouge on Nov. 9 before the Tigers play Alabama, a 6-2 team matchup that will essentially eliminate the loser from College Football Playoff contention.

LSU said the show will broadcast from The Quad. It starts at 8am CT.

LSU last hosted “College GameDay” on Oct. 12, 2019, before a 42-28 victory over Florida during the Tigers’ undefeated national championship season.

While LSU has been the visiting team featured on the show since then, most recently earlier this season when the Tigers traveled to South Carolina, this is the first time College GameDay has returned to Baton Rouge.

It will be the 14th time LSU has hosted the popular pregame show, fourth in the nation behind Ohio State (23), Alabama (19) and Michigan (15).

LSU plays Alabama at Tiger Stadium on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. It is the first game between the teams since former LSU and Alabama coach Nick Saban retired. Saban is in his first season as an analyst on College GameDay.
