Martha Stewart claims neighbor Ryan Reynolds isn’t funny in real life

Ryan Reynolds’ silly personality could all be an act.

Martha Stewart claimed that the “Deadpool & Wolverine” star, who happens to be her neighbor, isn’t as dumb as fans think when she appeared on Bilt Rewards’ November “Rent Free” game show with founder and CEO Ankur Jain.

‘Do you want to know something? In real life he is not that funny,” said the lifestyle guru (83). ‘No, he’s not that funny. He is very serious.”

She mentioned Reynolds, 48, as she tried to guess which respondents called the best celebrities to hang out with.

“He’s probably on the list just because he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face,” she joked.

She then guessed whether Brad Pitt and George Clooney had made it – which they didn’t.

“I’d love to hang out with those guys,” she noted.

“George is a lot of fun to be around,” Stewart later added.

Despite being wrong about Hollywood heartthrobs, Stewart said she was confident her good friend, Snoop Dogg, would be on the list.

When asked to rank her top picks, the author of “Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen” ultimately ranked “sweet” Taylor Swift as her top pick, followed by Snoop and then Clooney.

When Jain expressed his shock at Reynolds not being ranked, Stewart doubled down on her thoughts.

“He’s a good actor,” she confirmed. “He can be funny, but he’s not funny.”

“Maybe he can be funny again.”

“I’m going to get in trouble,” she added playfully. “He’s my neighbor.”

Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, own a $2 million home in Bedford, NY, which happens to be close to Stewart’s 153-acre estate with a fruit orchard, greenhouses and space for horses and donkeys.

Stewart befriended Reynolds and Lively, 37, when they bought a house in her neighborhood.

“She moved into my neighborhood with Ryan a few years ago. Before they got married, they bought a house around the corner from my house. And they came over, not to borrow sugar, but just as friends,” she recalled to HuffPost in 2014.

They later moved to a more private home, but still live near Stewart.

“They are very friendly, nice people,” she added.

“A little bit shy in a way – not shy at all on screen, if you’ve seen any of Blake’s films – but very shy in real life.”
