Navy Federal Credit Union is experiencing an outage

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVES) — Navy Federal Credit Union was having problems with mobile and online banking on Friday, according to their website.

“We are aware of periodic issues affecting our mobile and online banking platforms and are actively working to restore these services. We apologize for the inconvenience,” the warning banner said.

Reports of outages skyrocketed around 8:20 a.m., with the highest number reported at 873 around 9:06 a.m. according to Downdetector.

The mobile app will show a maintenance symbol and indicate that their app is currently unavailable.

The cause is not yet known.
