4 Shot at night in downtown, with woman, 19, in critical condition: police

NEW HAVEN, CT – Four people were shot in the area of ​​Church and Center streets around 3 a.m., according to New Haven and Yale police.

A public safety alert from the YPD was followed by New Haven police posts on “X” describing the shootings.

New Haven police said three men, ages 22, 21 and 19, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and a 19-year-old woman is in critical but stable condition.

The shootings are under investigation by police, who noted that “Church Street by Center Street remains closed to vehicular traffic, please avoid the area.”
