Resident Evil 4 Remake is just $20 for PS5 at Amazon – best price yet for the physical edition

PS5 owners who haven’t yet added the masterful Resident Evil 4 remake to their collection can now get their hands on a physical copy for cheap. Amazon has offered a discount Resident Evil 4 for just $20 for PS5. This is the lowest price ever for the physical PlayStation 5 edition. Resident Evil 4 retails for $40, though it’s often available for $30-$35 at Amazon. Xbox Series X players can grab a physical copy for $22.

Resident Evil 4 continued Capcom’s string of successful Resident Evil remakes, recreating the story and setting of the 2005 original with modernized visuals and gameplay that build on the design of the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. Despite the enormous innovations you saw in those other remakes, this new version of Resident Evil 4 is a much more faithful adaptation.

In GameSpot’s Resident Evil 4 review, Kurt Indovina awarded the game a 10/10, saying that the remake is “a reconsideration of the past rather than a replication of it. In doing so, it raises the bar for what a good game is.” remake while preserving Resident Evil 4’s legacy as a genre-defining experience and one of the greatest games of all time.”

It was Capcom’s first Resident Evil remake to receive a physical release for PS5, but it will soon be joined. Capcom will release physical editions of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes on January 10, 2025. Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will also get a physical release the same day, so now the direct sequel, Resident Evil Village, won’t feel like lonely on your shelf. All three games have free upgrades from PS4 to PS5, so many fans likely already have boxed copies for PS4.
